Prisma is a side-scrolling platformer where the player must use different colored dimensions to progress. Each dimension gives the player unique abilities. The blue dimension allows players to jump higher, allowing them to land on platforms normally out of reach. The yellow dimension allows players to run faster, giving them the ability clear wider gaps. Finally, the red dimension allows players to break through walls, opening up new pathways. As the player progresses, they will learn to combine powers in unique ways to solve complex puzzles. For example, players can start running in yellow to build up speed, and while running switch into the blue dimension to gain a taller jump.
Prisma was originally developed as a student project by seniors at the Savannah College of Art and Design. The game was selected by the school to represent at the 2014 E3 College Game Competition. The project would go on to win best in show at the competition.
